Hello Blog! It’s been a while and I’ve missed you. I am dying to feel the camera in my hands again. I’ve vowed to post at least once a week this summer and will capture anything my heart desires, probably mostly personal images! The search is on for fun and exciting things to photograph!! Happy Day! So good to be back, but am I ever rusty. This image was taken six months ago. I think I might have forgotten how to use photoshop. Nah, it’s like riding a bike. Looking forward to the Nicole V workshop in a few weeks. Can’t wait to meet up with the super sweet & talented Michelle Masser again. We met at a workshop last November!!
Last night it was past his bedtime, he was already in his jammies but I had him quickly change for a few photo shots. I’ve been meaning to take some while his front tooth is missing. I also crocheted this soft blue blanket for him last year and he wanted to get some pictures with it. He was a little tired and I had to tease him about gross bodily functions to get him to smile naturally, but it was worth it! Just look at my precious Bridger!

Wow! Valentines is just around the corner! I’ve been with my sweetheart for 17 years now! Can’t believe that! Well… we’ve been married for 16 years but Feb 5th was the anniversary of our first date. It was the “Sweethearts Dance” and yes, we are a product of a blind date!
Jimmy’s niece was my roommate. She couldn’t stop talking about her uncle who looked like a GQ model who had just come back home after living in Italy for two years. After hearing her gab on and on about how she would marry him if he wasn’t her uncle, I asked her to set us up. Im pretty sure she really didn’t want to set us up. She thought I was a real big flirt and certainly not serious when it came to guys. And, she was right. Sooooo, she threatened me that if I broke his heart his sisters would beat me up. Yes, I am being serious!!
In the meantime, I hooked up with a guy from Long Island, New York. He wasn’t nervous one bit that I was going on a blind date. After all, it was set up before we were together and it was only one date, RIGHT? …WRONG!!!! One night of dancing with the handsome Jimmy was all it took!
A few days later I made him some valentine heart cookies and had them sent to his home. I decorated them with the Sweetheart Candies. I hand picked every single little heart candy with the hope that he would read the subliminal messages. My roommates laughed at me and said, “He isn’t going to read every single little heart candy on those cookies. You are wasting your time.” Well… he did! He read every single little heart candy before he ate it. Those little messages really worked!
It wasn’t long after that that our fairy tale began! What, did I just say fairy tale!? Ooopps! I mean’t to say our journey! But hey, there are always those fairy tale moments! Here are a few from our life together. Love you Jimmy Kyle!

Isn’t this little guy just adorable and full of personality?! I had a short window to capture these because he was such an active little guy. Can some of his energy rub off on me?!?
I’m taking some time for myself and my family and am choosing not to be in business at this time. It doesn’t mean I won’t be photographing or posting. My camera is certainly connected to me and will always be a passion I breath. For the time being, I’m excited to just photograph when and where my heart desires. You will still see a lot of portrait photography but other categories as well. This way I can focus more on my family and other endeavors that we are embarking on.
Happy February! ~ Camille![]()

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon when these little cousins played in their uncle’s soft blue and white room named, “the cloud room.” The room was filled with lots of brilliant natural light as the girls giggled and rolled on the bed! I couldn’t help notice the contrasting beauty of each child, both in looks and personality.
On the home front: I’ve spent the last few weeks soul searching and really evaluating my life. I have concluded that I have been extremely blessed despite life’s typical challenges. In the past year life has changed drastically for me – I’ve had the opportunity to expand into this whole new world of photography. I’ve personally met and come into contact with some amazing, generous and wonderful photographers from all over the world. Each one of them has inspired me in one way or another and left me a better person, just by knowing them. My best photographer friends reside on each opposite coast and I feel so blessed to have such tremendous support.
I’ve been learning to use my new wacom tablet and I’m loving it. I was a little intimidated at first but just decided to throw caution, or I should say my mouse, to the wind and go for it. At first it was slow going, but I was soon flying high with pure speed. I’m addicted now and can’t figure out why I let it sit in the box for a month before I opened it!
I’ve also taken the plunge with Light Room. It’s been fun being able to experiment with a new program. Takes some getting use to but I’m catching on fast. I can’t believe how fast technology expands and the wonderful tools we have at our fingertips. It’s a great time to be alive!
We’ve also been preoccupied with a few small home renovation projects. I figured January would be the best month to get them out of the way. Once these are complete I’m hoping to be set up for business in a more efficient way. Of course we are debating on whether to sell our home of 12 years and move, or stay put for a little while longer. Wish I had a crystal ball!
